Position Summary:

House of Hope Orlando is seeking dedicated and compassionate House Staff to provide a safe, structured, and Christ-centered home environment for residents. The House Staff will serve as positive role models, offering guidance, supervision, and mentorship while ensuring the daily routines, house rules, and therapeutic goals are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Care & Supervision:

  • Maintain a safe and supportive living environment for all residents.
  • Ensure rules and schedules are followed, promoting structure and accountability.
  • Provide spiritual and emotional guidance, fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere.
  • Assist residents in developing life skills, healthy habits, and personal responsibility.
  • Model Christian values, integrity, and appropriate behavior in all interactions.

Household & Daily Operations:

  • Supervise daily chores, meals, hygiene, and bedtime routines.
  • Administer medications (as required) and follow medical protocols.
  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the home, delegating chores as needed.
  • Communicate household needs and maintenance issues to leadership.

Crisis Management & Conflict Resolution:

  • De-escalate tense situations and respond appropriately to conflicts.
  • Implement trauma-informed care strategies in dealing with emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Follow House of Hope policies and emergency procedures when necessary.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with Program Manager, counselors, and other staff to provide holistic care.
  • Document resident behavior, concerns, and progress in reports and communication logs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, team training, and ongoing development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong Christian faith and a commitment to the mission of House of Hope Orlando.
  • Experience in youth mentorship, counseling, social work, ministry, or residential care preferred.
  • Ability to set boundaries while fostering trust and healthy relationships.
  • Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Shift-based position with varying schedules (overnight and weekend shifts available).
  • Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
